Question about 1993 Mitsubishi Mighty Max

1 Answer

I cannot find the place to check and fill the clutch fluid in my 1993 Mitzubishi Might Max. I cannot find it where it shows it to be on the owners manuel. It is a 2.4L - 4cylinder. The most basic enginge that you could get with that truck.

If you have Rear Wheel Drive it is cable operated not hydraulic.

I have a 1993 honda accord, manual transmission, and it wont go into gear

Test it:

If it will go into gear when the engine is not running.

If yes, then test to see if it goes into gear when the engine is running; if no it is due to the clutch not releasing when you push on the pedal. In my experience this is due to problems with the hydraulic clutch. Check to see that the clutch reservoir Is at the proper level and fluid clean looking.

If it is not full it is likely due to a leak in your clutch system; Likely at the clutch slave cylinder at the clutch linkage to the pressure plate. Fill it and have someone push the clutch pedal for you and look for the leak to show up. If there is not leak and the fluid is full, the clutch disk may be at end of useful life.
Good luck

No clutch peddel. will go in gear and pull if eng ine is off. enough peddel to keep car from moving , can not shift.

check that there is fluid in teh clutch reservoir under the hood.

if you pop hte hood on the drivers side (right side) of the engine in the back right corner of the engine bay you will see two fluid reservoirs each wwith a grey cap. the one closer to the front of hte car is the brake fluid, behind it is for the clutch. It should be filled between the min and max lines printed on teh side. you fill the reservoir with dot3 brake fluid. It is important that you don't let any contaminates or water get into the fluid so most people try to use a fresh botle every time they top it off.

after that you really should have yoru ****** fluid changed or at least inspected for proper fill amount.

How do you do you bleed a clutch line on a 1993 jeep wrangler?

Just like you would bleed brakes. Fill the reservior with brake fluid, open the bleeder screw and have a friend press the clutch pedal in. Close the bleeder screw and let up on the clutch. Do that until the clutch pedal has a good feel. Be sure to check the reservoir frequently as they don't hold much fluid and if you let it get low you'll **** more air into the system.

The Clutch is stuck to the floor?

Check the slave cylinders fluid level in the reservoir It will have a cap on it marked clutch fluid. If empty fill it and pump the clutch 25 times and then try it out. If the leak persist the slave cylinder will need to be replaced

Manual transmission

more than likely it has a hydraulic clutch. check under hood to see if it has a resivoir for clutch fluid. it isnt really big if it does but it will say on lid to fill with dot 3 approved fluid only if it does have one.
