2001 VW Beetle hesitates when cold - New Beetle Volkswagen Cars & Trucks

    This also does it when warm up but not as much,it come and goes,once it was severe a code showed up Master air flow this was already replaced a week before,so i figured something else might have triggered it maybe vacuum leak did not find any,since code cleared nothing yet.

Have you had the electinic engine control system tested for fault codes, do that first, if no codes are stored have the ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor tested for proper valve cold engine and the fuel pressure tested as well

One difference here. One the NON-CONVERTABLE new Beetle, the hazard button is the flasher... on the convertable, there is a separate sealed relay box under the dash to keep from having the switch short out of you leave the top up.

I'm assuming you have manual adjustment seats. There is a spring underneath the seat that locks the end of the lever into corresponding notches in the seat frame rail. That spring has either fallen off or broken.

its normal if the engine is cold,it should go out once it warms up....
