SOURCE: Car was hit on front passenger side. A frame bent

If the engine cradle is bent or the sub frame, I'd get rid of it. If the control arm is bent, that is replaceable. With a broken axle, I'd be suspicious of the transmission as things tend to move much further then "snap back" during impact. Doing the work yourself will save a lot of $ and if you use scrap yard parts, even more (will also cut your losses if it doesn't work out well). Don't bother doing anything with the fender etc 'till you are sure it goes straight after replacing the items you mentioned. (after installing, have it aligned)
You are the best judge of whether you will keep it. You drove it every day and know what you had better than anyone else does. Time is also a factor...how long can you lay it up???
Good luck!

SOURCE: wrecked 2004 suburban how do you measure the frame

Well you can measure from the lower front balljoint with a tape measure all the way back to the middle of the rear axle housing on the same side, then do that for the other side your measurements probabley won't be the exact same on both sides but should be within about a 1/4 of and inch. Then you can do the cross measure way by taking the tape measure and going from the left front lower balljoint to the right rear axle housing then do the same for the other side. This should also be within about 1/4 of an inch.

2004 Chevy Tahoe rearend out of line

The rear sway bars have not been replaced. When you look at the driver side rear the tire is even looks like it not stright. I can see where the tire is scrubbing the inside where the i believe it the control arm mounts to the frame. When you look at the rear of the tahoe while its on level ground it leans to the L side. When i measure the height of the frame from the ground there is about 1 inch difference. Also measuring from center of front wheen to the center of rear wheel there is about 1 1/2 inches difference. Any other Ideas? I am taking it to a shop to have the frame checked to make sure its not bent.

I have a bent rear passenger side tire due to an accident, how do I fix it?

sounds like a hard hit ur problems can be an accumulation of one or more of the following bent rim --,bent and or broken hub,-- spindle bent or broken, shock, strut bent,broken--unibody [frame]bent ---u will have to remove wheel and look at the parts and see which is damaged also open trunk and look at the floor for bends and wrinkles also look at rear from back and look at the body for straightness unless u have a straightener for the unibody to fix body and or frame should be done by shop that is trained in repairs r the parts which ever part or parts need to be replaced they are all bolt in only worry would be replacing the strut if ur chevy came with that option most had a shock

Had my lumina get pulled out of the snow now the rear pass tire wont go around

I believe if you look under the vehicle you will find they bent one of the bars to the tire from frame causing tire to push in and hit fenderwell. there are four braces running from center of vehicle out ot each rear tire two on each side the front one will be bent if so will need to replace

Son hit curb in 2001 saturn SL2.Knocked it out of alinement. toed in pretty bad on that side. took it to firestone and they say spindal lower controle arm and frame bent. I put up on a jack the day before...

I would get a second opinion but yes you can tweek a component a small amout but still take it out of adjustment range. You normally wouldn't replace a frame but would have it straightened by a professional body shop. It may be prudent to involve the insurance company

Toyota T100 doglegs

Hi there ... there are a couple causes for this other than a bent frame. Check your rear springs carefully for a broken one ( normally around the shackle area on either end of the springs). Also check your U bollts that hold the spring to the axle They may have come loose and the axle has shifted. Check the other side of the truck and see how that tire is. if it's where it should be then you might have something going on in the differential ( C clip could have dropped or something let go).

Hope this helps you out
