You can not access the codes unless you use a code reader, this is because of the letter prefix and the number of codes, there are P codes for the engine and trans, B codes for the body, and I codes for some of the other systems in the body. These scanners are cheap, about $30 on ebay.

How do I fix the clock display on my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire?

It appears to be that the radio clock display has malfunctioned, and is due for a replacement radio, which could be an aftermarket or oem radio, maybe found at a junk yard.

Tools required for oem replacement radio, torx keys set.

Before working on the radio or other electronics, disconnect the battery cables with 8mm wrench.

Replacing the oem radio is much easier, if you obtain oem radio, compared to aftermarket radio, due to being direct fit.

The radio is same for 1995 to 1999 Pontiac Sunfire and the Chevy Cavalier, regardless of sub models, such as SE,GT, VL,VLX,Z24. etc.

Parts needed for the the aftermarket radio install :Stereo assembly, stereo wiring harness adapter, radio antenna adapter, and dash install kit.wiring diagram for the wire colors / functions, along with tools, such as torx key set, screwdrivers, wire crimper, wire stripper, double ended wiring connectors, hair dryer.

The oem stereo removal video is for the 2000 to 2005 Sunfire / Cavalier, but are the same or very similar procedures.

1998 chevy blazer fuel pump wont shut off how do

I don't think you can on that vehicle-probably not a code, anyway. Check the fuel pump relay, it may be stuck on. Should be located in the power distribution box under hood. Pull it out-pump should stop-swap in a different relay to test. If pump still runs on with new relay, the wiring to the relay needs checked.

How to replace headlight assembly

  • 1

Open the hood of the vehicle to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and expose the headlight assembly.

  • 2

Remove the headlight retainer clips by pulling toward the engine compartment.

  • 3

Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to pull the bulb from the headlight assembly and disconnect the electrical connection.

  • 4

Install the new headlight. Do not touch the glass of the headlight -- oil from your fingers can cause the bulb to overheat and fail.

  • 5

Replace bulb holder into headlight assembly and turn clockwise to secure it. Fasten the the retainer clips to secure the headlight assembly.

  • The retainer clips look like this :

Where is the assembly line data link on a 1985 chevy s-10 blazer? the manual says under dash near fuse block- but the only thing i found ls nothing like the manual shows any feedback i need to try and pull...

I have a 1985 S-10 Blazer with the 2.8L V6. The literature I have says the same thing as what you have. On my car, this connector is right under the heater box, just to the right of the top of the transmission hump. The heater box has an outlet right at the top of the hump, centered. The ALDL connector is about 2 inches to the right of this outlet. I've used it several times, and it is fairly easy to use. It was also pretty accurate with its code outputs. I won't, however, speak for all of the codes because I have not that much experience with them.

As to what my connector looks like: it is a black block with positions for 12 pins. My connector only has 5 wires, and they are in the top row. One wire is in the top left position, the next is blank, and the next 4 positions have wires.

I used this connector manually twice, the literature's instructions, in spite of giving a location different from mine, did work for reading the codes.

    Hope this helps

Any chance you get take that in to get the codes read. That is important and step one of the process. This will tell you the problem. If you are getting spark at the plug then more then likely you are having fuel problems.

1995 chevy blazer main battery fuse - where to locate?

the main fuse for the battery is a fuseable link style fuse, this looks like a wire but the inside of it is a fuse wire that burns when a short is present or an overload. theres one on the alternator and a couple more bolted with battery cable on the rear of the starter.that a good look at these, they could be bad and not look it,pull on fuseable link wire if its brunt the wire will stretch. they sometimes put one also near the + battery terminal. hope this helps.
