Yes the battery will still work unless you left the car and something was left on that drained the battery down.

Will not turn over

If it is not turning over could be the battery or starter or bad battery cables. That has to be determined and fixed before you can go to the "It is not getting any gas" problem

Car won'start

if you have a standard (manual) instert the key then turn it to the start point but before you turn it all the way then push down on the clutch turn the key and the engine should strart if not you probably don't have enough voltage on your car battery charge the battery then turn on the car and let it run if you don't have enough gas drive to the closest gas station while carring your car battery charger and fill the car with gas charge the battery and run the car for about 10 minutes and it should solve it or go to a car key expert to check the car key chip. I hope this was helpful

93 jeep won't crank. It is not turning over so to

Sluggish engine turnover can be the battery but won't be caused by gas. A problem related to gas would be more apparent after the engine is running.

1996 F150. Got a new battery, tank is full of gas. Would not even turn over until I got a new battery Now it turns over but no starting. Started first time every time until the weather dipped down below...

might be a bad crank sensor-they go bad all the time on Fords (4.6, right?)-unplug it, and plug it back in again, it might start right up, worth a try.

Gas not going into engine

Engine would still turn over reguardless if there is gas making it to the intake or not. Check your battery and + and - cables for corrosion. If your battery is fine then suspect the fuel pump is failing. You can here the pump turn on if you listen in the gas tank when someone turns the key forward.

My Tahoe is having a had time turning over. the battery is charged. i took the cable off the battery and the tahoe turned off. the guy at o'reilly's put something on the battery and said the alternator was...

if your oil smells like gas you need an oil change badly. while running the alternator should be charging at 13 up to 14 volts if it's not doing that then the alternator is bad if that battery is charged and it's hard to turn over then there is a loose connection either at the battery or the starter if everything is tight lean toward the starter

Ran out of gas in saturn vue, now it appears that the battery disconnected and the car wont start?

the battery does not just disconnect by itself .likely the battery conection is loose if you ran out of gas and it is fuel injected put the gas pedal to the floor and turn the key do not let your foot off the gas until it starts or you will flood it you have to get the gas to the injectors or else tow it to a shop

Check Engine light on 1998 BMW Z3 roadster

yes the light is because of the gas cap being gone (sets code in evaporative emissions system), replace the gas cap, disconnect the battery for five minutes and that will turn of/reset the light, make sure u have the radio code before u do this, if u don't u will have no radio after the battery is disconnected..
