I don't have experience with this engine but guess you won't have to remove it for valve cover gasket work but perhaps can lift it a bit [not by hand!] after loosening engine mounts.

SOURCE: 1993 celica clutch change

It's easier to remove the engine if your doing it on the ground but you can remove the far motor mount and tilt it to get the tranny out However it will be a very tight and difficult fit I don't recommend taking on this project if you are not absolutely sure of what you are doing.

SOURCE: Headlights aimed at street

on each headlamp assembly, there will be either one or two plastic nuts that you can turn.

If you only have one nut on each, that will adjust the vertical aim of the headlights.

If you have two nuts on each, one will adjust the vertical and the other will adjust the horizontal.

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

Leaking oil between the gear box and engine

Leaking rear main seal.
Remove the gearbox and clutch, inspect clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing for wear and replace if necessary, remove flywheel.
Now that you've gained access to the rear main seal, remove it carefully with a hook or screwdriver, some are bolted in (don't score chip or mark the crank) inspect the crank for a wear grove. If a groove is evident and more than 5 or 6 thou deep, get the crank repaired or speedy sleeve it yourself, re-fit new rear main seal, re assemble, bleed clutch if it's hydraulic and no more leak.

Do i need to drop gearbox to do clutch on peugeot 607

No, you can't - there's no way to take the clutch out when your gearbox is still in engine bay - no place to put torx screwdriver, plus no way to pull the clutch off.

How to replace the clutch on front wheel drive cars

It is best to replace the clutch driven plate, pressure plate and release bearing at the same time.
You have to remove either the transmission or the engine(or both). On some vehicles it is not possible to remove the engine without the transmission. I prefer removing the transmission only, since it does not require a hoist. (Removing engine and transmission complete is a bit more complicated, theres much more things to disconnect, but makes things easier when mating the transmission to the engine after replacing the clutch assembly). When removing the transmission only make sure the engine is properly supported, since the engine is supported by the transmission and vise versa.
Take note of all pipes and cables that you remove and mark them with masking tape since that gives you something to write a description on. Remember to mark the spot that you disconnect from as well. Taking close-up pictures of the engine bay will work wonders when your memory fails.
Read through this : http://www.fixya.com/cars/t4984410-remove_front_axle_get_engine (solution 2)
Drain transmission oil. Remove the driveshafts as described. Remove any electrical connections to the gearbox.
Remove the gearshift linkage. Remove the clutch cable/clutch operating mechanism(hydraulic clutch) Remember to support the engine before unbolting the transmission from the engine. Remove any mountings still connecting the transmission to the body of the car..
Remove the transmission from the engine bay. It is possible to do this by hand (a helper would be a plus at this point)
The clutch pressure plate is then visible on the engine and held in place by 6 bolts. It can be removed along with the clutch plate(which will drop free once the pressure plate is removed. Replacing the clutch is pretty straightforward, except that the clutch plate needs to be centered, or the transmission wont go back on. Autozone stocks a clutch centering tool which you can purchase although some clutch kits come with the centering tool supplied, else you can fashion one out of a wooden dowel. The dowel needs to fit snugly into the recess in the centre of the flywheel. Use insulation tape to build it up if it is too thin. The clutch plate can go in one way only. You will note that the clutch plate centre has a metal plate fitted on one side. This is the transmission side of the plate. Fit the clutch plate and pressure plate to the flywheel and tighten the bolts just enough to hold the clutch plate in place so that it doesnt move around. Using your centering tool make sure the clutch plate is nicely centered. Then tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Which means tighten them up without breaking them. Get the transmission fitted to the engine. This may take some doing especially if the clutch centering didnt go too well. Now reconnect everything and drive the vehicle to the nearest alignment centre to re-set the wheel alignment.

How to fit clutch cable to golf gti 2.0i 1997 engine code agg

Under the dash on top of the clutch pedal there will be a retainer clip holding the cable, remove that then a similar clip on the gearbox, you will have to undo a cable holder bracket to remove the cable, the cable will also have a gromet in the firewall that needs to be positioned correctly on assembly, adjust the cable accordingly with the adjuster on the gearbox once installed, good luck drive safely

Hi

If your clutch is slipping the clutch plate is worn out and will have to be changed. This involves engine and gearbox has to be taken out - then the gearbox has to be sperated from the engine to remove the clutch assembly and replace the clutch plate with a new one.

There is no adjustment on this clutch as it is hydraulic and therefore is self adjusting.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
