First I suggest to check coolant level; could be a wrong about engine coolant temperature sending unit go to bad.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

You will have to remove the gauge assembly and take the cover off to flip the gauge back to proper point.

I have a 2002 Chevy tracker. It's been running hot on the temp gage. So, I have changed the thermostat and replaced the radiator hose because of corrosion but it still overheats and when I turn on

If there is cold air coming out the heater than there is air in the system. After you replaced the thermostat did you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap off until the engine came up to operating temp? Doing this will purge the air from the system.

2003 temp. gage goes compelety to right , but engine doesnt get hot ?

It's very possible that the gauge itself is bad, it is common for the stepper motor that drives the gauge to go bad.

2002 Buick Rendezvous over heating randomly

Don't worry about the fan. I think you have a bad temp sender unit. Replace that and see if it helps the stalling also. If not, go for an engine analysis. They will check for trouble codes and check engine sensor functions.

Usually a sign of a problem with the temp sensor or the wiring harness back to the computer.

I had my 2006 grand prix fix 3 times for the tempature gage and stilss the gage goes over the 3 line

I think you should start thinking it might not be the gage itself but >Problem with the wires in the circuit itself Also warm car up take a thermometer & check coolant tempature cross referance with temp gauge in the car

My car is going pass the center line of temp gage i think it is getting to hot and i allready changed the termestat

Did you make sure to remove the air out of the system when you replaced the thermostat. If not you have a air pocket in your system and this is causing the overheating problems

My car has overheating out of ordinary found that water pump was leaking replaced it, drove 2 blocks car said overheated again. Replaced thermostat and it still said was overheating. Even after I let car...

Sounds like you need a temp sensor for the gage. There's 2 under the hood one is a 2 wire in the intake manifold driver's side & a single wire one under the exhaust crossover pipe, also driver's side. You want to change the single wire one. Yes,it's tough. If it's still overheating quick, then it's a head gasket.
