SOURCE: CENTRAL LOCKING ON 99 T REG FORD ESCORT

Some of the Escorts do not have central locking. If the keys open both front doors, the hatch and fit the ignition then I would not worry too much about it. You may find that you also have a hatch release catch at the side of the drivers seat also. I trust this information helps you.

SOURCE: steering wheel off centre on ford ka, had tracking

if wheel is offline then the person who done the tracking is responsable and take the car back to them and get them to put it right .the correct way is to adjust each track rod end a little bit not all the adjustment on one track end ,which throws out the wheel alignment .this means that you lose steering lock on one side .THIS IS COWBOY BODGE JOB .If they cant or wont put it right then take it to someone who can and report them to the office of fair trading and make a legal claim for the job to be put right

Just got a ford ka as the ford ka got cental locking

Hello,

Yes the ford has a central locking system, you can do that with your remote, and can do it when inside the car, the button is by the door which is at the driver side. You will see the central lock button, but central lock wont work if a door is open.

Take care and good luck

All four windows and both front doors don't lock when you use the remote ?

First make sure the battery is still working in the remote. If it does, then you have to locate the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace for central locking.

I have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee and the door by the drivers side is giving me problems. The windows wont go down anh also I cant lock the doors

check the boot inside the door, lovely jeep engineers haven't figured out a way to make the wire able to withstand the moving parts yet. you have broken wire inside the boot in the door.

My grand am 2000 wont start put the key in and wont turn on and the steering wheel is not locked

Have you checked the ignition or maybe its called the engine fuse on the diagram? Under the dash in most cars is a fuse box with a diagram on the cover. Check those out and also under the hood should be another fuse box with larger fuses and the same thing should be written on the case. Engine or ignition. let me know how this turns out. Raz

Central locking fuse for ford focus

The fuse panel is located to the lower left of the steering wheel. Remove the 2 hex screws holding it in place and turn it around. The fuse (63) is somewhat hidden behind a wiring harness. Replace the fuse and try the locks. If they work your are good, if it blows again you have to find the location of the shortage, thats where I'm stuck :(
