How do I disable passtime device on 05 Ford Taurus SE

you cant disable the device on the vehicle, by doing so can be illegal depending on your location. If the vehicle is paid off and you no longer owe the dealer or financial institution any money, take the vehicle to the dealer where you purchased the vehicle and have them remove it, is the best advice I could give

We own a 2000 GMC Jimmy, and it won't start. It

it sounds like they may have installed the passtime on it incorrectly. I would contact the dealer that installed the passtime system on there. Also they may have inadvertantly disabled it, you may need to contact them for a new code (if it is the passtime that rquires a code). The noise you hear through the speakers is more than likley due to them not grounding something properly.

Disabling PassTime device on 03 Ford F150

Find the passtime device , it's usually under the dash near the ignition switch. You can trace it by following the wire from the remote eye. There are 5 wires with a plug connector plugged into the device. Leave the red, pink and black wires alone. The blue wire comes from your ignition switch and goes to a relay switch inside the device. The purple wire comes from that switch to your starter.
Leave them cut from the device, but solder, (or connect in some manner) them together so that the passtime device is bypassed. Then your starter will get power when you turn the key. That's all there is to it.
the passtime device will still appear to be functioning. It will beep and take codes from the remote, but regardless of whether it is timed out or not your starter will still get power.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

It should be noted that the passtime system is property of the dealership and removal of this device may violate your contract with the dealership and in some states is a punishable offense.

Radio never has worked since we bought it has passtime

The Passtime has no effect on the radio. All the Passtime does is inhibit the starter. You can take the Passtime out by cutting the blue wire and the purple wire (that come out of the Passtime box) now you will have a blue wire and a purple wire that go to the car. Strip the ends and connect the blue wire and the purple wire together. You can either disconnect or cut all the other wires that come out of the Passtime box. If you cut the wires make sure you tape the ends of the wires so that they don't touch any metal and short out, blowing a fuse.

As for the radio you might want to remove the radio to make sure that it is plugged in. I've seen alot of times when someone sells or trades in their car they take out their "COOL" stereo and since they cut the plug for the original radio off so they could wire in the "COOL" one, they just put the original one in the dash not plugged in. Hope this is helpful.

There is a device called pass time its a car shut off device that when someone doesn't pay there car payment ontime the dealer can shut off thier car remotely i just need to know how to install it

Let emissionwiz know that NO one was pulling your leg! He's been in the new car business 30 years and this system has been around 25 years in one way or another. New vehicles can be shut down as well!! Any vehicle that has G.P.S. which is included in ALL of the following: OnStar, TripMaster, PeopleNet, AtRoad, & QualComm can be shut down from ANY computer or phone call in the WORLD! To a point this eliminates Repo people from chasing down cars, but not totally. All of these systems work off satellitesThe company or provider that has the authority can do whatever they deem necessary to get their point across. Like with people who don't pay their carnote. I'm a Transportation Manager as was a driver so I know the tricks. OnStar can not unlock or locate most vehicles that are in garages or too close to buildings. The same is true with PASS TECH / Ignition Interlocking Device (I.I.D.). Sooner or later you have to bring the vehicle out of the garage and that's when the sut down will happen. As a driver others & myself would want to disappear off the map and this is what we did & it works. Take some ALUMINUM FOIL and wrap it around the device or receiver so it can't get a signal!! The same principle works for the anti-theft devices in stores. This is not intended for anyone to do wrong or break the law, just showing how the concept works. If the company sees that the car has not shut down after they have attempted to shut it down, they will send a live REPO person to track you down and get their property back!!! The best to to do is pay your note!! I know that's may be hard to do right now the way the economy is. Better yet just return the vehicle and avoid the headache. Be honest with the lend holder! Hopes this helps in a good & honest way.
