Question about 1998 Ford Windstar
Had oil changed at wal-mart, ran fine, week or 2 later wouldn't start, turning over but not starting, changed fuel filter, then checked air filter, oil in air filter, had to push van up hill backwards into our driveway, hit a hole and seemed like a lot of oil come pouring from engine, not oil pan, how would I make sure it is head gasket?

you got head gasket problems, white smoke is an indication of water turning to steam, probably doing uphill because the engine is under greater load.i think the knocking is pre ignition, carry out an engine compression test to verify your head gaskets integrity
