The air pump is above the muffler heat shield near the rear suspension parts.

SOURCE: front end shaking 1996 Ponitac Bonneville SE

Check for runout in your wheel bearing hubs. You can also hit your e brake lightly and see if it shakes then. If it does, it is in the rear rotors which will also warp.

SOURCE: my 2000 bonneville idles rough. 3.8 liter. it even

Mine did this at one time, and it was only a bad plug wire. Give it a tune up and see if it works. 170k miles is awesome, I have 145k now and it runs great, but had to have ac replaced this week :( Good Luck!!

It may be helpful for you to get some idea of the mechanism involved in operating the shock absorbers in your vehicle. Refer this information. It may then be a matter of finding the parts involved if replacement is required

The rear end is way up in the air

it sounds that your compressor is bad...your car should have the "ride control" light on. but first you got to check your fuses, then check your struts; for any fluid leaks if you see leaks the need to be replaced, check the air bag for leaks too, now check your compressor, hit the switch if you hear it then its ok..if not needs to be replaced. GOOD LUCK

Hard ride

It Might seem rough but compared to my F-250, my back likes my 2000 S10 alot more at the end of the day. I drive between 700 and 1000 miles a week. And remember this is not a luxury car. It is a Pick-up truck. Thanks
