SOURCE: 1992 Eagle Talon TSI Fuel Pump not coming on like normal

the book just told me the fuel pump relay is near the ecm under the center console and to test it put the positive to terminal 10 and negative to terminal 8 and with power to the relay connect the negative probe of a voltmeter to the battery negative terminal (where the - is to the relay) and connect the positive to terminal 4 then 5 it should read out about 12 volts at each terminal, connect the jumper leads terminal 9 to battery (+) and terminal 6 to the battery (-) and with those relays connected to the relay check for continuity between terminals 3 and 2 there should be continuity remove the ground from terminal 6 the ohmmeter should read now read no continuity install jumper lead to terminal 3 to battery (+) and terminal 7 to battery (-) check for voltage at terminal 2 and battery (-) should be about 12 volts remove (-) from terminal 7 now should read nothing if anything doesn't read out what i said replace it and the numbers for he terminals start from the plug part you had to push on to remove the wires it goes 1-5 on the top and the bottom 1-6 and this would be with the clip on top if this did not help let me know i will read off the next part to check

SOURCE: Fuel stopped working, no fire to spark plugs

When I hear no fuel or fire I always think of ignition module first. The moudule tells the coil when to fire, and if you don't have fire at the plugs then the fuel pump won't run due to saftey issue. Take your module in to parts store and they will test for free.

I have a 95 grand Cherokee. I'm getting fuel, and I'm getting spark. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor, and it still wont start. I spray starting fluid in carb, it starts and dies. Please help

what does getting mean? which engine, 4Liter or 5.2 or what?
spark at all cylinders is getting and timed right?
runs on test fuel so sparks good, that means fuel is bad
or flooding or too little fuel.
code 12 cranking for 5 seconds, means sensors are ok.
why replace parts that make spark when sparks good, it run on test fuel, why worry spark.? and not just fueling.?

now lets do fuel, step one is fuel pressure, not squirt tests.or dribble test. a real tool called,a fuel pressure gauge that works, and nothing else, (unless rail is dry and now we know its not)

if all spark plug tips are dry, are they?
then its not injecting, (the ECU can cut injection for 2 reasons) ask
or there is no real pressure.
so we open the FSM and read page FUELING
49psi is idle pressure, (more cranking with so little vacuum)

the tests are all there,

Have a 1993 gmc sierra. runs fine most of the time . but will just kill sometimes out of the blue. does not matter if it is warmed up or cold. when it dies will just turn over but not start. replaced spark...

When this truck dies, does it have spark,or fuel pressure?Check it for no spark,if it has no spark, replace the ignition module. These gm year models are bad to go out ,and the distributor pick up coil also.Replace the module first,if this does not help, replace the pick up coil.NOW ON A FUEL RELATED PROBLEMit could be fuel pump, fuel pump relay,or the pick up coil. The pick up coil pulses the injectors, and the spark.I hope this helps,if not let me know.
