Question about Cars & Trucks

Anyone know how to change a warped dash in a 1999 pontiac grand am?

I recently purchased a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. The dash above the guage cluster appears to have warped. Any ideas on how long / expensive it is to fix?

SOURCE: 150,000 mile service for a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE??

150,000 you should have the brakes checked, check brake lines, tune up (spark plugs, wiers, air filter, ect.) rotate your tiers replace if needed, oil change, be sure to change your cabbin filter to, most people don't know that their car has a cabin filter. The shop should tell you exactly what they would do to it.

Changed water pump. put new thermostat in changed radiator blowing out cold air but temp. guage never goes above 225

first check and see if you have flow through the heater core
start the car and get to operating temp. then grab the heater hoses they should both be hot if not then you have a flow problem
you can try and back flush the heater core or replace it
if the hoses are hot then there will be a problem with the temp door under the dash
hope this helps let me know if you need more info on the heater door

Dash lights

You will have to replace the light bulbs. In order to do this, you'll have to take apart the cluster and radio to get to them. Visit www.oqcgp.net to search for fixes to common grand prix problems

1996 Grand Am dash cluster DEAD.. tach, odometor, fuel gau

I had a similar problem with mine. I had to replace the instrument cluster. The "new" cluster will need to be programmed to the pcm. If it is not programmed, the car will start and immediately flood out and die.
