96 galant cant put the a/c pulley or belts on how do i do this?

The easy way to reset the belt back to the AC compressor and the crank pulley is to loosen the IDLE pulley on the threading path. Use the correct wrench to loosen the fitting on the engine body, now pass over and thread the belt over the mainpulley and the AC pulley through the idle pulley, use a small lever to tighten the belt holding up while you are able to tighten the idle pulley.
You might need help to hold the tension while the idler is fixed.

How to tension the BMW x5 4.4i 2003 serpentine belt

All BMWs use a spring loaded tensioner. if you are having trouble with the tension then you need to find /use the correct belt path. If you are having trouble getting the belt on the tensioner, then use a section of the old belt to tug the new belt onto the Alt. pulley.

The tensioner that is on the BMW 4.4L M104 motor is found near the idle pulley and can be locked into the slacked position with a 1/4" thick bolt that has the threads ground off also the tensioner can be operated with a 3/8 drive ratchet. Apply tension to this pulley after getting the belt wrapped around the other pulleys and then fit it over the Alt. pulley last.

How to adjust a tensioner on a 2001 chrysler voyager

You mean your belt tentioner, serpentine belt, it is not adjustable if your belt is coming off you have a bad tentioner, bad pulley or your power stering pump is leaken and your belt is soaked, if oilly firts found your leak (most common is a hose from reservoir to pump) then replace belt with a cheap belt (had lost of trouble with Life time or hi dollar belts), in the mean time also inspect your tentioner if ani play side ways replace it, also remove idle pulley and spun it close to your ear, if any noise replace it, you may get away with a single item changed, but for trouble free time, replace all items: belt tentioner ($38) idle pulley($25) serpentine belt ($25)

How to change belt on a 98 pontiac bonniville

You are asking how to remove the serpentine belt on your 3800 engine ?
First, I would take several pictures so you know how it goes back on.
1) * You must have a special idle pulley tool. Take you tool and pry the idle pulley enough to remove belt, dispose of old belt.
2) Now place the new belt on the pulleys just as you see in the pictures you took or look at the diagram on the radiator support.
3) Pull the idle pulley again with your tool and put on the belt.
The idle pulley will put the tension in the belt.
Please let me know how it went.

Recently had trouble with idol revving up and down and temp guage in car reading high though card was not overheating. Thermostat was replaced and now I am having same trouble plus the car will ****...

could be idle stop sensor.mine does the same, should be under the manifold cover,..check w/ dealership autozone may be able to run scan. There are three sensors the above,.and the oxygen sensor and the maf sensor. It should stop Idle hunting when in drive,.due to the other two override it when signals dont match.. Have it scanned. I am in same boat,.Mine ran hot but didnt steam til december 1st I blew the head to heater hose 80 bucks to repair but then I still ran hot and steamed,.today I replaced the radiator,Fins were completely shot..lost tranie fluid due to a transmission coolant fitting breaking,.put it together ran to autozone and it's over heating again. So I have to think replace temperature switch, thermostate(Again) .Check to see if it looks like there is a fine spray of fluid after you shut it of. Maybe a small leak in top hose. When it goes,.you'll end up like me w/o heat due to plugged heater core. But the Idle stop sensor is usually the culprit to idle hunting. It may just be lose rather than faulty.Prices I have seen ran from 95 to 295 bucks. Good luck!! Erin

How do you rerout the belt on a 1994 buick roadmaster estate wagon when not using a c pulley...The ac pulley and clutch has seized up.

You will need to get an idle pully, remove the air con. pump and fit the idle pully in its place. You may be able to reroute the belt but getting a belt to fit will be a problem.

Rough Idle 2000 ford Taurus OHV

This could be a bad a/c compressor or compressor pulley bearing.Try removing the serpentine belt and turning the compressor by itself. The bearing should turn very easily, and the compressor itself should turn.If it is vety hard to turn,it is bad.
