The bolts that hold everything in once out is very easy to replace. It islike removing a big turkey from the ovenwith the up most care.. The only trick is to remov the screw inside the pin holding the side gears in place which is inside the carrier housing

I am trying to take off the struts on my 98 Buick Lesabre and the bottom studs won't back off. Are they're any tricks of the trade anyone knows of? I tried soak'n em in WD40 and torching t

if they won`t come out by soaking them or using a torch you may have to put the nut on the bolt so its flush with the end of the bolt and hit it with a big hammer or use a air hammer to move it.not sure where you heated it but heat the strut where the bolt goes through it and you have to use an acetelyne torch not a propane torch as the heat is hotter with a acetelyne torch.be aware that you may have to replace the bolt and nut if damaged.

I've tried a puller and even used a torch to heat the silicone. It still won't turn.

Please explain what exactly you r trying to remove, 1st is the pully, 2nd is the harmonic balencer, may need an impact gun on the puller, and heat but dont melt the ballancer rubber. Make sure u r using the right puller not a "it should work" puller BIG BIG difference.

I've got all the wheel nuts incl locking nut off my Golf back wheel, but can't get the wheel off, what am I doing wrong?

At a guess, you've got alloy wheels, assuming so, this is a common problem.

1) Make sure its on an axle stand, not just a scissor jack, and give the inside of the wheel a good old whack with a mallet, if you don't have a rubber hammer/mallet. Hold a piece of wood against the wheel and hit that.

or

2) Put the wheel nuts back on, just finger tight, then roll the car backwards and forwards, with luck the weight of the car should do the work for you.

When you put you wheel back on, put some copper grease on the hub to stop it sticking again.

420 code cat code runs good, can it be cleaned up

I haven't seen any product or additives that will actually clean up a converter...and I've tried several over they years to see if they would help. What I have found is that these products sometimes make the engine run a little cleaner long enough so the Cat will pass the efficiency test for a bit yet they don't do anything to the Cat itself. I've also had the best luck replacing converters with OEM units that are made specifically for that particular vehicle and application. Hope this helps and good luck!

why are you trying to pull the ( wheel ) . If you need to replace the 2 broken lugs then all you need to do id hammer them back thru the ( wheel ) and go get 2 new ones that match those broken ones and hammer them back in from the back side of the ( wheel )

I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee limated, the blower motor resistor wireing shorted out at the plug connection the control circuit to the resistor,I need to know the color code for the j1,j2,j3 termals on...

I've seen a few of these and the easiest fix is to replace both the blower motor speed controller/resistor and the wiring harness connector. I've tried fixing the connector but the repairs don't last because of the heat generated at the connector if everything isn't just right. You can purchase the connector, which comes with color coded pigtail wires attached, from the dealer and it's a fairly easy and permanent fix. Hope this helps and good luck!
