SOURCE: ford explorer and ford explorer sport trac same exterior parts?

Above is correct, some body panels are interchangeable some aren't...Headlights, front fenders, hood yes. Doors unsure, bed and back no (obviously). The underpinnings (suspension) are similar, but not exact...and depending on the year, the Explorer went to independent rear suspension, while the sport trac kept the solid axle differential.

SOURCE: I have lost my only key to my 2001 Ford Explorer

Dealer OR Locksmith

Dealer you need your VIN number

Locksmith may just cut a key for your ignition

IS it a coded ignition ? then you definatly need a dealer
OR prokey company But they are limited to only certian model and year vehicles

sounds like a dead battery , try a jump start ,if it starts have the alternator charge rate checked as if low may have been the cause of the battery going flat, then recharge the battery with a drive of about 20 miles

Check all major grounding points clean all with brush or grinder and use vaseline on connection points. This will include the motor to chassis ground as well as battery to frame ground (very important).

2001 sport trac intermittent trying to start the motor,It has a new battery, but that didn't help,it will work for a few days, and then it doesn't start again.

Had the same problem last year. Turned out to be fuel pump. Tech at a local TLE said it was going out. Took almost a month to get dealer to agree (four trips) and change out pump. Had gas tank cleaned out also, years of buildup inside clogging pump. No problems in the year since.

Truck will not turn over not even a clicking sound from the starter. Last time this happened I changed the fuelcap as it flashed to check fuelcap. Bought a new cap and starts right up. This time it just...

Have you replaced the battery recently....check connections, make sure you have good ground
Batteries are good for about 5 years....this heat will kill an older battery...if it is not the battery then I lean towards the starter needing to be replaced.
You may have a vaccum problem as well.
