normally 110 nueton metres. use nut lock and once you have torqued you will feel if you have to tighten it a bit more.

Yes, It's under the intake manifold. The manifold would need to be removed
Lower hose from radiator is attached to steel pipe leading to it.
It will not be an easy mission,and the new thermostat is rated for I believe 170 degrees.
That's not much help to keep the interior warm with a rag top when it's 20 below zero.
You can boost the heating level by adding vinyl cover over the front portion of grill. Any boat interior shop has the material. Modify any large air leaks. Use the fan to keep fresh air filling vehicle, not recirculate.
