Are you using the correct tool for the job, they make a special socket just for O2 sensors.

Without that they are a major pain to remove, and to replace.

This is a major prob!! Sometimes it is best to remove the pipe and take it to a shop and have a new thread piece welded in! I have seen where you do manage to turn it, but the threads get stripped anyway. This should be changed once a year for top performance and do not tighten the new one in with great force. Where can i find the bank 1 oxygen sensor? on a 1999 chevy lumina .

If it is a 4 cylinder it will be on the exhaust manifold at the front, a V6 is also mounted at the front, but lower down. If you are getting an O2 sensor code, change the fuel filter first. O2 sensor seldom go bad.

Can I use a different model year door mirror on a 98 chevy lumina

Door mirrors on chevrolets tend to be model and year specific. the auto recycler can tell you for sure since most carry a book which shows what parts will interchange with what car.

Battery terminals are loose or have corrosion on them. Check both main battery lead's at the battery and + where it is connected to the starter and - where it connect's to the body and engine.

1998 Chevy s10 4 cylinder running rough

One thing to check is the fuel pressure regulator.
If the diaphram is leaking it will cause gas to be pulled into the vacuum system causing lots of white smoke and extreme rough running.
