Question about Cars & Trucks
It would start normal and then cut off after about 3 secs. i then have to prime the pump and tumble a few times before it starts. works very good when started, not hesitating, but when it is parked for a t least 4 or 5 hrs it hard starts again, tumble a few times but not starting, prime the pump again. changed the primer pump but same problem. installed an aux pump, same problem. this problem only started after having changed the head gasket and shaving the head. glow plugs and fuel filter was changed. any help to fix this headache

hi change the glow plugs and no its not normall there should be no air in the system it is either sucking air or it has not been bled properly last time system was worked on usually when changing the fiter check the whole system for signs of leaks if non found bled the system until you get rid of them yates210456

This sounds like an injection pump issue or a dripping fuel injector, just because the injectors where serviced doesn't mean it still can't be an issue.

If the engine was starting ok before you changed the pump, then it must be something you have done or disturbed, retrace you steps, make sure all pipes are tight connections are good etc
