On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

How do i change my sideview mirror on my 01 neon?

Easy! Basically you pop off the plastic cover on the inside of the door that leads to the sideview mirror. Remove the two or three nuts and pull the mirror out from the exterior of the door....installation is in reverse....that simple.

Replace sideview mirror

If you're lucky, on the inside of the door, will be a triangular panel right behind the mirror that you can pop off. If you're not as lucky and it's one piece or the panel is blocked by the door panel, you'll need to remove the door panel to change it.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door

Sideview mirror has broke from the base

Side view mirrors are relatively simple to replace. Sometimes it requires the removal of the complete door trim to gain access to the mounting nuts and any wiring it may have. Other times there is a triangle piece in the corner of the door window opening that can be removed by itself and allows access to the hardware and wiring connectors. Check local junkyards for a used mirror, you may even find one in the right color. Good luck.

Taking driver door panel off to fix window. How do I get it off?

There's a screw in the arm where you pull the door closed, there's one next to the door handle, then there's 2 screws along the back of the door and another 2 or 3 along the bottom of the door.. once all the screws are off, you'll need to gently pry the door to get the clips to pop open. You'll need to pry off the cover that sits over the sideview mirror before you can pull the door panel off. You'll then have to remove the water seal (plastic film) to access the internals, but you can't reuse the seal though.

Try either an open end wrench or 1/4" drive socket, possibly 10 mm or 12 mm ( metric ) . Forget using needlenose pliers. Hope this helps

There is a soft metal backing on the mirror mount that is bent out of shape - in order to get it right you must remove the door panel. Once the door panel is off you will be able to see the three mounting bolts for the mirror - remove them, once removed you will be able to take it off to straiten the metal
