CLIO dashboard air conditioner lights not working

The controls on the dashboard (which provide to adjust the temperature and where the air comes out) are normally lit up when the lights are switched on, but they do not light up. Also the front and rear offside lamps do not come on either. It seems strange all these symptoms appeared at the same time. Any ideas please?

SOURCE: the spanner sign has lit up on my renault clio what does it mean?

The car is due for a Service. Contact a Renault Dealer or other garage.

If you book a service using another garage, remember to ask if they are able to switch off the service light, otherwise you will have to pay Renault a charge just to switch it off as well as service costs.

Try pressing the D3 button on your gear shift - little button below the main one. D3 allows for quick acceleration, but the light also shows when the car is locked is gear ('limp home mode') due to another problem.

SOURCE: Renault Clio Sport 182 Air Con and fan blower fault

I also have a 53 clio with climate control and the fan stopped working. After being quoted £104 by dealership I decided to have a go myself. Bonnet up, remove driverside scuttle cover. Unplug fan resistor 7701051272 (large plug with black wire to fan)remove securing screws and resistor. Dismantled casing and peeled away gel from soldered side of circuit board around mosfet transistor-desolder and remove. Mine was a N342AD 75344G but the nearest I could get was HUF75337P3 from Maplin £1.68. This was the wrong 'package size' but I managed.Close the clamp slightly (before)to hold transistor firmly and then insert transistor and solder. Reassemble. After I got an email from a scrappy QUOTING £20 if you don't fancy the messing about.

Fan for radiador dont work only wend a/c is turn on fans come on but slow i gat a hyundai santa fe 2002

In general, vehicles with electric radiator fans use an electronic temperature control so the fans only run as fast as needed. The energy to drive the fans come from the fuel you burn, so this is supposed to improve fuel economy. The air conditioner load makes the engine run hotter, so the fans should come on then.

Now, here is the real question: is the engine overheating at traffic light stops? Do you see an abnormal temperature rise on the dashboard gauge (assuming you have one)? If so, you may have a problem with the fan motor bearing, check for smooth and easy rotation of the fan when the engine is cold (it's dangerous to do so when the engine hot; the fan may come on even with the engine turned off). On the other hand, if the temperature indication is generally lower than it used to be, the temperature sensor may be going bad and is not calling for the fan to be on when it should be.

Controls for ac not working on 1998 buick century

see this steps and fix it. God bless you

Start the car and turn the air conditioning on. Allow the engine to run a few minutes so the air can cool. Check to make sure you have the proper buttons selected. This simple step may uncover the root of the problem.

  • 2 Adjust the air controls on the dashboard to see how they are working. If the controls move the way they should with the proper amount of resistance and stopping in the right places but have effect on the air, then the problem may as simple as a blown fuse. If the controls are not working at all, then the problem is in the control panel.
  • 3 Get to the fuse box in a Ford Explorer by removing the instrument panel to the left and slightly below the steering wheel. There is a fuse remover provided in the fuse box. A blown fuse will have a broken wire in it. In a Ford Explorer, this fuse is red number 10.
  • 4 Find the control panel by prying off the top instrument panel around the air conditioning temperature controls. Unscrew four screws, one in each corner, and remove the temperature control panel. Unplug four electrical connectors and one vacuum hose to the control panel.
  • 5 Listen for the blower motor to be properly working while the engine is running and the air conditioning controls are turned to high. Adjust them from low to high to make sure the blower motor noise increases and decrease accordingly.

Vacuum leak on 95 buick riviera, I have several problems related to vacuum leaks. First is cruise control quit working recently, second windshield washers not working and third air conditioner seems to...

May have to check out if the vacuum motors have the vacuum tubes attached but this may take a lot of work to disassemble the heating ventilation air conditioning out of the dash and underneath the dashboard. If rain enters the compartment under the dashboard, the pan that is designed to catch water may be disturbed or cracked somehow. Try to check fuses for a/c and the heating, the cruise control, and windshield wipers to see if there is an obvious electrical issue there. The vacuum leak is not related to the windshield wiper motor not working.

    Good luck on this repair.

Morning, I have a 2006 dodge stratus sedan. When I turn the heat on only cold air blows when the car is sitting at a red light. But when I drive hot air blows. Is my heating element going out?

Water-cooled engines supply heat for the passenger compartment by circulating hot coolant through a radiator-like heater core. The passenger compartment fan forces air through this heater core and into the passenger area. The flow of coolant for this purpose can be controlled with a valve in the line that is adjusted when the heat control is moved or via a flap that blocks or opens the air path through the heater core to adjust temperature.
The effect you describe can be caused by several different sources:
    - A slipping belt which turns the water pump. - A partially collapsed hose in the circuit for the heater, causing a reduction of water flow to the heater core. - A heater core internally blocked from deposits from the water component of the coolant. - A valve which is not being adjusted through its normal range by the dashboard control. - A flap suffering the same limitation as above.
Another effect our personal vehicles generally show with age is caused by abnormally low engine friction attributable to a particular additive we use that reduces engine friction so much that the thermostat that controls coolant/engine temperature is wide open but the engine doesn't heat enough to bring the coolant temperature into the normal operating range. We notice on two of three vehicles, that rolling on a long downgrade (engine not loaded) will cause the engine temperature to drop below its customary operating temperature.
If you have a dashboard temperature gauge, watch it to see if it rises into the middle of the range or not. If not, there may not be much you can do other than flush the cooling system, making sure that the heater control is set to its highest temperature to ensure that the heater core is in the loop while flushing.

The dash will have to come out for the A/C prob to check the stepper motors and wiring. There are about 6 motors back controling different flaps to control direction of airflow. Once you get the dash out, turn on the car and start working the climate control to see what motors and flap are doing what. Once you see what's happening or not happening, you will know what to do then. about 4 to 5 hrs to take out dash fix prob reinstall dash.
The dash does not have to come for bulbs. For the cluster, you may have to drop the wheel if it does not adjust down far enough to remove the cluster. Drop the lower dash under the wheel, one of the bolts is left hand thread to hold the wheel up, two wery small screw hold the cluster, it slides out. One hour at most; two if no experience doing it.
