The on button sometimes doesn't allow the unit to stop and I have to keep pressing it this is what happened when it did work and then the motor would go on but no jet action and then later the smell began, but the smell concerns me, its like a toxic smell

Sounds as if the circuit board has shorted out and needs replaced. chk here http://jacuzzicare.com/index.php/jacuzzi/jacuzzi-circuit-boards.html for replacement.

Burning plastic smell when cold out run heater and fan inside car and out

Are you loosing radiator fluid. sometimes the heater core will rupture and you will smell burn odor. also check for strange rubbing sounds or screeching coming from the blower fan motor. or engine exhaust manifolds are hot when car is on, make sure nothing is leaning on them which will cause a burn odor. Any odor coming from outside will find it's way inside through the fresh air vents.

What does it mean when there is a bad smell coming from AC/Heater while driving yet there is no smell under the hood? It doesn't smell like gasoline or mold but it smells like burning oil, maybe antif

its a small leak in your heater core try keeping a eye on coolant level, and there are a lot of sealers out on the market ,I cant figure why on a 2 year old car its also possible one of the hoses supplying it are leaking in car or right where hose goes in to firewall . im really hoping some of this helped you. if you ask other questions PLEASE give year make model and motor size.

Why does my truck start up and run for about 10 seconds before it dies? I

It should at least run for several seconds after you turn the key on. It MAY run longer, but it SHOULD run for several seconds. If fuel demand goes down (engine not burning much fuel), the pump may not run after that.

Burning smell

Could be the blower motor, or an oil leak in the engine compartment. When the hvac is on anything except recirculate, it draws fresh air in from the engine compartment. You could switch over to recir and see if the smell goes away.

Electrical burnt smell

If you had a short in the starter motor windings and held the key, you'd get a click and a burning smell. That would be the insulation burning off the electrical windings. There's a 40-amp max fuse in this circuit.

Heater in 2001 kia spectra stoped working

The burning smell is most likely an issue with the blower motor. These small motors have a hard life and the windings can lose the insulation and short out, hence the burning smell. Another problem can arise if the air intake has filled with leaves and other matter which can be ignited by the fan speed resistor creating the smoke. As this matter rots down, it creates chemicals which can erode the insulation on the motor and cause burning and the eventual failure of the motor. The fan speed resistor is a bank of wirewound or solid state resistors wired across the fan motor which give the individual fan speeds. If these fail then you would lose the fan as well. Search out the fan housing as the resistor is usually fitted into this housing to keep it cool. NEVER turn the fan on if this resistor is out of the housing as it WILL get hot and It can cause a nasty burn..the resistor can have upto 7 wires plugged into it but as to it's exact location, that you will have to find on your own..

I just went out to start my car, and the key turns but nothing happens except the dashboard lights come on. No turn over, no noise.....

It sounds like you ignition switch went out. I had this happen to my wife a few years ago you turn the key the acceseries turn on but nothing else. this will be a trip to the dealer. did you happen to smell something electrical burning the last time you car was working if so it is the starter switch. you will need to take it to the deales an get a ne w switch which will also involve new keys$$$

1994 GMC Sonoma Heater Problem

Sounds like either your motor or blower resistor is going bad.Gm blower motors tend to go bad from what i have seen.My chevy pickup is on its 3rd motor. There is also a hose that is connected to it that when the air blows it directs some to the motor to keep it cool. You can check that but it is probably your motor
