It is against the law to release certain kinds of freon into the air. Take the car to a certified mechanic who has a freon recovery unit

Where is the port to add freon on a 2001 alero

ON THE LOWSIDE OF AIR SYSTEM.LOOK UNDER THE HOOD,MAYBE PASSNGERS SIDE AND REMOVE A VALVE STEM,LOOKS LIKE VALVE STEM ON TIRES TO ADD AIR.IT WILL HAVE A BLACK SCREW OFF CAP NEXT TO THE A/C DRYER OR DEPENDING ON THE ENGINE SIZE.SUGGEST YOU FOLLOW THE A/C LINES FROM COMPRESSOR TO THE DRYER,THE SMALLEST PORT WILL BE THE LOW SIDE THAT ALLOWS FREEON TO GO IN,BUT! I SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE NEVER INSTALLED FREEON,PLEASE DO NOT ATTAEMPT AS YOU MAY BLOW A COMPRESSOR SEAL WHICH CAN COST AS MUCH AS A $1000.00 FOR PARTS ONLY! IT'S WORTH INVESTING $50.00 FOR LABOR AND $75.00 IN PARTS VERSUS THE OTHER RIGHT? RESEARCH,RESEARCH

I had my ac charged with freeon in June and a month later I have no ac. I don't think this is a compressor problem. Any idea where to leak could be?

Check to see if you still have freeon. If not you have a leak. Most auto parts stores sell freeon with a stopleak and oil combination charging system.

How to replace a/c compressor on 94 Cadillac fleetwood. Refrigerant has been evacuated.....

if freeon is leaking check the lines. remove them and replace orings. replace orings that are used to seal the lines to the compressor. after that is done add 1 can of freeon. wait a little whille and see if its still leaking.

Need to put freeon in a 2002 jaguar s-type. where

The lower port is located on the larger of the two lines going in/out of your A/C compressor (the lines are silver tubes and your compressor will have a belt of some sort attached to it).  You can also tell which is the lower port because that line will be cool/cold while the high side port line is smaller and will be warm/hot while the A/C is running on max.

test with a gauge to make sure it's in safe range.

Is the a/c clutch cycling on and off more than 4 times/minute? If yes, you ares till low.

Do not overcharge or you could damage compressor.

I dont know where to add freeon to my 1999 kia sportage 4x4

Find the A/C compressor. Look a both lines going to it. One line should be bigger than the other. The bigger line is the Low Side (suction port) follow that line it goes to the firewall to the evaporator that is in your dash. The low side pressure port is somewhere in that line between the evaporator and the compressor. That port is where you check low side pressure and add freon. Don't worry if you buy a charging kit from a part store you can't hook it up wrong, the low side port and the high side port are different sizes and the hose won't fit. With the A/C running on high, low side pressure should be about 35psi.

A/c

I just filled my freeon today. You put it in the Big canister whear your line comes in from the compressor. So just follow the line coming from the compressor, closest to the passenger side. It should be capped with a black cap (The smaller black cap)
