Actually, that solution is not entirely true. I have a 2006 PT Cruiser base edition and my driver side brake light blew out. You need a T40 torx screwdriver and look up the bulb. Once you remove the single torx wrench, then slide the whole assembly down. This will release a tab at the top of the brake light assembly. Pull the assembly out (there are clips on the side) and then you can remove the brake light. It twists out of the light assembly. Good luck!

there is a flash for this probleem available from the dealer per tsb 18-007-07...if that doesnt take care of the problem you may have an issue with the charging system.

my 2006 PT Cruiser --- all the dash lights go on the gages go to zero the car sounds like it stops and starts up again sometimes it does it 15 times a day and then not again for 2 weeks this is my 2nd cruiser and nothing but problems should have learned the first time the Dealership is not helpful and very rude thanks any ideas will help when I take the case to Dailer Chrysler

Find your air mass flow sensor in the stiff collar of the air ducting immediately after the air filter. Have the engine running and disconnect the plug to the MAF. If this makes the car run evenly again you need to replace the broken MAF. The misfire on plug 4 I think is a downstream event of the MAF not sending the right info to the ECU and consequently not providing the right fuel / air mix to the engine

The ac compressor pulls a good number of horses from a 4 cyl engine.
Any minor performance problem is amplified when the ac is running.
You probably have a weak spark plug or wire, or an issue with an injector.

WE WERE ABOUT TO PULL THE HEAD ON ONE WHEN WE FOUND THE GASKET SUCKED IN. PART IS CHEAP AND REPAIR NOT TERRIBLE .HAVE YOUR TECH SPRAY CLEANER AROUND SEAM BETWEEN INTAKE AND PLENUM ENGINE SHOULD DIE DOWN WHEN YOU HIT THE LEAK
