SOURCE: where is the fuel pump shutoff switch located on a 1996 chevy silverado 1500 located

Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button

I have a 2004 chevy malibu and the blower no longer works on any of the 4 settings. it comes on for about 3 seconds and stops. can you help what it might be?

you have one of two issues. the fan relay (usually located in the fuse box under the dash has failed. or the resistor block located bolted to the duct work for the vents has failed. this can be removed by undoing the two or three screws that hold it in. autozone may have one or your dealer would stock them. it will be near the fan and have a wiring connector plugged into it.

please take a moment to rate my solution. thanks

Chech the Blower speed resistor located on the passenger side under the glove box it has about 5-7 wires on it. Check the red and black wire, they are bad about melting and loosing connection. If this is the problem which has been in many cases for me a chevy dealer sells the resistor and pigtail harness. **** this helps

Electric fans run all the time

The radiator and A/C condenser fans are triggered by high coolant temperature or when the A/C is turned on. Check to see if you have a relay sticking closed. The (ECT) engine coolant temp. sensor could also be defective telling the computer that he engine is too hot all the time. If you can locate the relay it's much like the others and you can swap it with a good one for a simple function check.
