Question about 2002 Ford Ranger Regular Cab
We have broken the passenger door mirror and have purchased a replacement. We are unsure as to how to take the door panel off to access the 3 screws that holds the mirror assembly on the door. Can you help...My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your help..
If its a power mirror there is more thing you will have to remove to get to the wires but if not there is a screw on the corner piece on the inside of the door. just pull the screw out and the bolts (3) that hold the mirror on are behind it. If it power then you will have to remove the door panel to access the wiring to disconnect it

You will need to remove the door panel from the inside of the door. Then you can see the mounting points for the mirror and can remove the retaining nuts to the mirror.

You need to remove the internal door panel, then you can see the screw to remove the side mirror. Sometime you need to remove the glass before you can reach the screw.

You can usually just replace the mirror, any commercial auto-glass store has the glass you need. sometimes it is necessary to replace the mirror and its backing (a plastic frame which snaps into the adjustable motor) you don't need to replace the whole mirror unless the housing is broken.
