The seat belt noise issue is possibly related to the sensor box under the front seat that they are all connected to. Also controls the airbag light and 'ding' warning for that. Cost is about $300-$400 to replace.

SOURCE: '97 sebring w/ rusted brake lines need replacing

Look at spending around 200-400 dollars to replace all the lines, and possibly calipers or wheel cylinders if the bleeder screws are rusted out also.

Drill holes for the mounting points and use large fender washers for reinforcement. Much better is to weld in some reinforcing plates (make sure their corners are rounded, not sharp), then drill the holes.Be sure your mounting hole goes into the body sheet metal

If you have a bad ground connection between battery and frame / body will have all sorts of strange problems. Electricity travels backwards thru all kinds of strange ways. You tube has good tests for checking with a volt meter VOM

You might have got antifreeze on ground cables connection to body. Corrosion. Good luck. My car drove me crazy till I fixed ground. Unbolted cable on body, cleaned connections no more problems

Oil light comes on and is dinging.

The oil light has nothing to do will oil level, but rather oil PRESSURE. If the engine oil is full and there is no rattling or banging noises in the engine, chances are the oil pressure sending unit is bad. If noises accompany the light, then shut down the engine and troubleshooting the engines internal lubrication system.

Car rattle when driving on smooth road noise coming from all 4 corners ford puma when going over bumps etc . totally worse on an uneven surface . any ideas ?

I think you should check brake calipers and brake pads. The suspension is in constant motion and the shock dampening for the body is suppose to isolate the body.

There are compounds like "Brake Quiet" which is a rubberized paste that is to be applied between the pads and caliper. You may need new brake hardware which will tighten the pads and calipers to the car.

Check your heatshields on the exhaust system. Gravel can get sandwiched between them and rattle like crazy. Check them COLD and hit them with your hand and listen for rattles. Sometimes hubcaps can pickup stones, but if you work on the brakes you will be taking the hubcaps off anyway. Good Luck on this repair.

'89 Ford Probe electrical issue

are you wearing your Seatbelt, are your doors closing all the way hatchback ajar ? i only ask as these would be the Dinging sounds your having chances are you have a bad door pin switch which isnt closin the loop as for your Check engine light being its OBD1 you will have to run a scan tool to see what the codes are that are throwing the Intermintent check engine light but as for the dinging it sounds like a Door pin switch thats gone bad try that 1st ....and this is not a solution but it will be close to it and also scans arent that expensive and it beats throwin Money at a problem that could be dont Guess there are at least 60 known Faults if not more that can Trigger that light to come on ....Goodluck
