Oil became milky in rover 200

Milky oil is a sign of blown head gasket.
Start with a oil change.
Monitor the coolant level.

Lose of coolant will confirm head gasket leak.

C22ne,engine missing, and running very rich, new plugs and leads.miss isnt constent but over all cylinders, engine light on,

hi i had this problem my self not all of 2 weeks ago rebuilding a holden rodeo c22ne motor had bad miss new plugs will do you no good on this one
in my case the side of the piston had cracked the three ring holes right threw leaving only the oil ring intact in this case if you have replaced coil and spark plugs and all sensors its almost betting to be a busted piston do a compression test to see your pistons should be around 190 psi if number one is down a long way ie in my case 50 psi its about $250 to fix your self and you have to buy all pistons no use buying one only

Milky oil will not start

milky oil is bad, it probably means a blown head gasket or a cracked block-because it won't start, I'd lean toward the cracked block, but I don't know the car's history-what led up to this? Was it badly overheated recently? No matter what, if you even think it might start again, drain what is in the crankcast, antifreeze kills bearings-not like water is better, but if you drain the anitfreeze too, and fill it with water, and do a pressure test on the radiator, you can find out how bad it really is-good luck.

Chevy s-10 pick up truck ,158154, 4cyl engine, wont start

Milky substance on your dip stick indicates contamination in your engine oil, most likely coolant and that is an indication of head gasket, or intake gasket gone bad and coolant leaking into your oil system. Note that coolant in your engine oil is bad, coolant will corrode the internal engine's bearing causing you to replace or overhaul the engine. The engine not starting is most likely the result of being blown and will need to be replaced.
Thank you for using Fixya and god luck

Oil look milky/air wet(change)went throught high water but stillwant start

If the oil is milky you need to drain it and replace it and the oil filter.Your plugs may require removal and drying off along with any other ignition parts that were in contact with water that have not dried.Would recommend removeing air filter cover and drying this area also if water has came in contact with this area. Once your all dry it should start
