Are you check right firing order there? Some fault code or "check engine" is there? Try scanning the PCM and send us this code number if find someone there.

SOURCE: My 1999 Grand Am doesn't have spark plugs wires,

which engine do you have if it is 2.4 quad there is a plug tower under plate in middle top of engine remove it then remove tower underside will have plug insulators if different engine and you have what,s known as coil on plug design simply remove each coil and plug insulator is on bottom instead of the old distributor and wires they just got rid of some components all cylinders use to share same coil and dist. sent fire to correct cylinder by cam timing now the pcm monitors cam by camshaft sensor and every cylinder has designated coil it signals to fire according to what pcm sees at cam and crank sensorshope this helps and not confuses

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo it misfires when idleing I changed the plugs yesterday it didn't start doing that until I changed the plugs

Carefully check your routing and make sure that all spark plug wires are attached to the correct spark plugs otherwise your firing order will be mixed up and cause the issue you are having. Also make sure that the wires are firmly seated on the coil packs or distributor, whichever is on your vehicle.

Has a mist in motor

A miss or mist? If it is mist, possibly radiator hose, heater hose, oil sending unit. What kind of fluid is it? If it is a miss then first thing would be change the spark plugs if they haven't been changed in a while. If it keeps missing after that try pulling the spark plug wires one at a time with some spark plug wire pliers. If you pull one and it doesn't make a difference then that is the cylinder that isn't working. Put a spark plug in that wire and see if it is firing by grounding the base of spark plug and watching it. If it doesn't fire first try putting on a spark plug wire, if that doesn't fix it, you must have a bad coil pack. If you have spark when doing the test above then maybe an injector that isn't working. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

My 88 cherokee has a miss at around 40 mph. any solutions?

Check for a shorting spark plug wire when the engine is under load. Get a spray bottle of water, and mist some water on the plug wires from the dist. cap to the spark plugs. Rev the engine, and you might see a blue spark shorting to the outside of the spark plug or to the cylinder head. If that checks out, check under the dist. cap for any oxidation on the contacts, or hairline cracks in the cap. Any of these things will give you a misfire under load.

Jetta 4 2002 1.6 std - Does not start instantly - misfire on start . Eratic idle . Misfire on 1 and 2 , sometimes 3 .

Sounds like you need spark plug wires. Take a spray bottle that will spray water in a fine mist and spray the wires while engine is at idle. If your plug wires are bad they will arc all over. You will hear and see this. Replace all wires at the same time.

1999 gran marq has new alternater, fuel pump and filter, spark plugs and boots but still skips while idleing and mostly while accelerating,,,getting worse also

I will try to add a few things to check. It sounds like bad plug wires or a coil going out. Sometimes if you water mist the coil and wires with a spray bottle you can see the sparks jump. It will be easier to see in a dark area with the motor running.

The Intake manifolds were changed from metal to plastic to prevent carbon buildup in the EGR passage. This would be under the Metal Airhorn and under the gasket where it attaches to the top of the Intake. There is a groove to clean that carbons up and throws bad codes and interferes with the engine running good. 8 bolts and a $10 gasket and 1Hour of your time to fix it.

You have not mentioned any codes or testing results. Your onboard computer can be checked for free at Autozone or Oreillys. Your "check engine" light should start setting defect codes if your misfires are getting worse. Also, if you can remember a wet plug when you removed your old plugs, that would be a good indicator of a bad wire for that cylinder.

Let me know if you have been fixed.

The distributor cap and rotor should be changed if this does not help replace the ignition module located within the distributor Headers increase the local temperature near the spark plug boots make sure you have a thick high quality spark plug wire boot surrounding the spark plugs, an old timer trick is to start the truck up cold at night in a dark local and spray the plug wires and dist. cap with a light mist of water to detect any weakness in the ignition wiring, any arc outs see must be adressed.
