Here is the sad news, if you ran the truck out of gas chances are you destroyed the electric fuel pump in the tank, why? the fuel pump is very small, it is able to do it's job only because it is cooled by the gas it is submersed in, if you run out of gas or run very low allot it ruins the bearings in the pump and it freezes up, u will need to drop the gas tank and install a new fuel pump, I see this ALLOT!

I ran out of gas and now car wont start

You should look for a gas container, go to the nearest gas station, fill it, get back to your car and por the content of your gas container in the refill point of your car. If you don't have a gas container available, maybe you can buy one at the gas station.
Actually make, model and year of your car makes no difference to solve thei sad issue.
Some gas stations won't sell you gas in a container. In this case you should call a towing service and take your car to the gas station.

2010 Jeep ran out of gas put some in wont start

If you ran out of gas, You'll have to "cycle"(turn on, off, on, off) the ignition, To "refill" the fuel lines! cycle the key 3 - 5 times, then try to start!
If does'nt start there's a possibility your cooked the fuel pump!
