Replaced shoes on 1988 Toyota Pickup 2 wd, breaks will not stop wheels...what could this problem be?
I assume the rear shoes where replaced, was this a problem before replacing the rear shoes?Adjust the rear shoes out to where the wheel drags just a littl when turning it by hand, then if you need to,bleed the brakes, bleed the master cylinder, then the right rear, left rear, then right front, and left front,do not run out of brake fluid during this proccess.

You buy a proper repair manual, do you agree?
You don't remove the "brake" from the bearing. You may remove the hub, the tire, the brake caliper mount, but the brake pades come off from the caliper.
public libraries normally have a great selection of free repair manuals.
p.s. when is comes to removing things, here are the steps to follow
1. look for bolts or screws to remove and do so
2. try to pull piece off/out
3. try harder
4. love taps
5. if 1-4 fail, look in manual and see if you need puller
6. if you need puller, go to autozone or wherever and rent puller, making one from scratch is really hard
if none of these works, ask your teacher.
