Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Am
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and will have to be removed to get access to it,there is a lock ring that holds the fuel pump in the tank that has to be removed to replace the pump.you willl have to disconnect the fuel lines and vacume hoses and electrical wires.then remove the tank straps to lower the tank.be aware that the more fuel in the tank the heavier it will be so be prepared to lower an extra 200 lbs of weight depending on how much gas is in the tank.
