The egr solenoid is located on the passenger side of the intake plenum along with other vacuum related parts..... It is mounted to a bracket with 3 otother modules with vacuum lines on it the egr vacuum selonoid is the center one with a electrical plug in the front and a vacuum line going in the top and out the bottom.

EGR vacuum solenoid is located below your EGR valve. Center your self on the engine, look between the rear of the engine and your firewall. You can see your the top of you EGR valve, there will be a small vacuum hose connected to the top. Follow that small hose straight down from your EGR valve and it connects to the solenoid. You can see the solenoid better from beneath the car. May have an orange connector. Hope this helps.

Where P0403 located on 2002 Mazda MPV

this relates to the EGR valve solenoisd , the test procedure is as follows . With the ignition on and engine off, use a scan tool to activate the EGR solenoid. Listen or feel for a clicking, indicating that the solenoid is operating. If the solenoid does operate, you'll have to check current draw on the ground circuit. It should be less than one amp. If it is then the problem is intermittent. If it isn't then there is excessive resistance in the circuit and perform the following 1. When it's activated see if you can blow lightly through it. IF you can\'t there may be a blockage causing excessive resistance. Replace EGR solenoid as needed. If there is no blockage, disconnect the EGR solenoid and the PCM connector containing the EGR solenoid control circuit. Using a digital Volt-Ohm meter (DVOM) check resistence between the control circuit and battery ground. It should be infinite. If it isn't, then there is a short to ground on the control circuit. Repair the short to ground and retest as needed. 2. If the solenoid doesn't click as it should, disconnect the EGR solenoid connector and connect a test light between the two wires. Using the scan tool, command the EGR solenoid on. The light should light up. If it does, replace the EGR solenoid. If it does not perform the following: a. Check for 12 Volts on the ignition supply voltage to the solenoid. If it isn't present, inspect the supply circuit for an open, or a short due to chafing or breakage and re-test. b. If it still doesn't operate: then manually ground the EGR solenoid control circuit. The light should light. If it does, repair open in EGR solenoid control circuit and re-test. If it doesn't, replace EGR solenoid.relates to the EGR valve , the test for the exact cause is quite intricate so have copied and pasted the information , keep me posted if you wish

Where is the egr valve on a 2005 dodge 1500 5.7L

The electronic EGR valve and solenoid assembly (3) is attached to the front of the right cylinder head (1). An exhaust gas routing tube connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold.

Disconnect electrical connector (1) from EGR solenoid (2). Remove two bolts (3) connecting EGR tube (4) to valve assembly. Remove gasket located between EGR tube flange and EGR valve assembly.

Remove two mounting bolts (2). Separate valve assembly (3) from cylinder head (1). Remove and discard metal gasket located between cylinder head and valve assembly.
The new EGR valve will come with a new metal gasket. You can reuse the smaller gasket for the metal pipe going to the egr valve as long as its not damaged.

TY for using Fixya; remember rated this post.
