Prices for a smart junction box for a Ford fusion 2006

The DLC has a separate fuse, F18 in the Smart Junction Box (SJB).

On Ford Explorers and Mercury Mountaineers from 2006 until the model year 2010, the default five-digit keypad code is printed on the smart junction box (SJB) under the driver's side of the dash.

You need a factory scan tool , it only costs about $3,000 ! Does the back lighting work every where else , Instrument cluster , switch on steering wheel, door switch's etc.. If so you have another problem , because all the back lighting is controlled by the SJB - smart junction box , that's what ford calls there body control module !

Check by the battery junction

Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? The horn relay isn't under the hood in the engine compartment , it's in the SJB - smart junction box located inside the passager compartment . Under the dash panel left side . You can take the relay back to autozone because it's not the right one ! The relay is inside the smart junction box ,soldered to the printed circuit board !
Horn Horn
The vehicle is equipped with dual horns. The horns are mounted in the LF frame rail corner behind the front bumper.
The horn system consists of the following components:

• steering wheel horn switches
• clockspring
• horns
• smart junction box (SJB)

Horn Switch, Steering Wheel Mounted
The horn switches are incorporated within the driver side air bag module in the steering wheel. The switches are grounded and control the horns through the clockspring. For removal and installation of the driver side air bag module, refer to Section 501-20B .

Your best bet , take it to a qualified ford service center .

Look for Fuse #15 in the Smart Junction Box located at the base of the driver side A pillar. It should be a 20 amp fuse.

on the back of the radio itself is a mini fuse next to where the wiring harness plugs in ....i bet this is the problem
