Check it out completely as its a older zafiro and these petrol engined variants are well known for the ECU playing up ,so check the fuses first then remove the drivers door panel and check for power to the lock mechanism and if if still no fault found suspect the the ECU its bolted to the inlet manifold right hand side and its a dealer only job they cost about 600 euros and often go wrong for no reason .

SOURCE: how do you replace starter motor on zafira 54

the starter motor is placed at the back of the engine and is quite tricky to get to,there are two 13mm bolts holding it on.the bottom is quite easy to get out but the top bolt is a bolt with a extra thread on the end with another nut which holds the earth cable in place, you first have to remove the 13mm nut and earth cable and then get a deep 13mm socket and remove the bolt.then simply take out your old starter and replace new one then put top bolt in,put earth cable back on and then the nut told cable and bottom nut then its done!!! jope this helps.

hi from uk this fault most likely the bulb has blown in high level brake lamp /3rd lamp as you say as you mention this car is 08 reg check the warranty period as it may/should be dealers repair ?for no charge ps if you or other drivers have a habit of sitting in standing traffic with foot brake on instead of use of handbrake ? this is prime cause of brake light bulbs o/heating and blowing element in bulb due to the actual b/light element is high wattage so burns brighter observe how many cars have one or more b/lights not working as you drive ? also bear in mind this is an offence and m o t failure as these light are obligatory (must have working ) and you can face a penalty if stopped by police

How do I release my fuel flap on my 2008 zafira please

Open tailgate, pull back trim/look in cubbyhole space on fuel filler side of the car. Locate motor and manually activate lock plunger.

Once you have the trim off you can see the motor - look for the rod thats poking into the fuel flap and just move it with a pair of thin nosed pliers - if you then disconnect the plug it won't re lock when you lock the car - have you checked all the fuses as for the central locking to stop it has to be a fuse.

Ford transit central locking

Sounds like you will be spending quite a while at your garage repairing a damaged loom and then sorting the alarm system out. Was it a stolen vehicle that has been recovered I wonder. Check the DVLA records.

I have a 57 plate 3 series, the doors will nit unlock but will lock with the remote, also the passenger door and rear doors have deadlocked, can you help?

Hi , this sounds like the fuse has blown for the central locking due to a hi amp draw from a fault lock , depending on the country that you are in you will need to find the fuse for the central locking , for european cars the fuse will be #57 or #72 it will be a 15amp fuse that will nead to be changed to a yellow 20 amp fuse , once the blown fuse is replaced , insert the romote key in its slot and turn the ignition on , then remove the key , open and close the drivers door and the central locking should then work , if this fault re-occures then 1 or more door lock will nead to be replaced, hope this is of some help , regards mark.
