Question about 1997 Jeep Cherokee
I own a 97 Jeep Cherokee that needs to have the windshield washer pump replaced. What would the best way to go about that?
I have seen some stuff on-line that would lead me to believe that I would have to remove the front quarter panel on the driver's side in order to do that. I would certainly hope that wouldn't be the only way.
Go with the solenoid first, it's more likely and may even be easier to replace, the crank sensor is hard to get to and usually not the culprit, it it were the problem jump starting wouldn't work

Remove the windshield wipers. Pull away from windshield until and use a screwdriver to pry clip on bottom of wiper arm and remove entire arm from mount. Now remove shroud that is under wiper arms you just replaced. After you move the shroud, you should be able to get at the pump.
