Question about 2001 Volkswagen Beetle
My 2001 VW Beetle Turbo will not start. This has happened a couple of times in the last 2 weeks (as it has gotten a little colder). When I turn over the key all of the lights flash on and off (lights on the dashboard) and then everything resets. My clock goes to 12:00 and my trip-odometer goes to 0.0.
The weird this is if I push down on the gas as I'm trying to start it, it usually starts. Today it would not start at all, even with trying to give it some gas.
Any ideas what might be the cause?
Does the car turn over or does nothing happen at all? more info will help

Check the voltage at the battery it should be about 12.6 volts if this is ok then your starter motor is worn out and needs replaceing
