it is a 44 it is a aluminum case the vin does nothing you need the tag on the housing to find what parts you need take your time a lot of parts guys do not know what they are you can poss convert to a 35 if you know the gear ratio

Differential bearing caps 70-85 ft lb
Ring gear bolts 70-85 ft lb
Pinion bearing preload if using original bearings 8-14 lb-in, if installing new bearings 16-28 lb-in

There are several small screws to remove. It doesn't take long once you've done it and know where they are located. First you must remove the center console--there are two screws (i think 7mm or 8mm) underneath the middle part kind of hidden from view on the center console. Then remove the lower plastic panel under the steering wheel. Then a metal panel must be at least loosened enough to reach the lower screws on the dash panel you're trying to get at. Then there are three more screws along the top ledge that must be removed. Then you can get to the bulbs. I think there are 5 in there, and two in the center console. It sounds difficult and time consuming, but it only took me like 15 minutes start to finish
