This can be caused by any number of problems, what must be done 1st is have the computer control module checked for fault codes, if nothing shows up there then check the fuel pressure.

    What if you still have good fuel pressure, and it still hessitates when giving gas?

    Possible low fuel pressure or defective Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) or TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

My van is jerking while stopping or idling


Check / replace the high tension leads.
I had a problem with hessitation / jerking also at very slow speed in stop start traffice. I was the EGR ( exhaust gas recirculation )valve. Car is now like new.

Check for spark, fuel and air, if you have all three, then check the relays and fuses that involves those 3, you should come up with something there
