Remove the plastic cover that goes over the engine (the one with the Hyundai logo).
At this point, you will see the cables that goe to each fo the spark plugs.
Noting their position, remove them.
The spark plugs are ready to be removed, turn counterclockwise and replace with manufacturer recomended ones.

Sensor should be on front of engine near timing belt. Remove mounting bolt and connector and replace. Clearance between sensor and sensor wheel, should be between .020-.059 inches when re-installed.

Hi

On the 2.7 engine it is located beside the starter. You will have to remove the starters heat shield to gain excess to the crank sensor.

Whenever it rains my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe will not run well. Today it sputtered and died several times. Now its running again that it has dried out. What is causing this?

We went through this with ours recently. Hyundai diagnosed it as a bad crank shaft position sensor. We replaced it and we're up and running again. Not sure why the damp weather affected it but it did.

OBD2 reader, reads P2125 ... on a Hyndai santa fe 2004 ....then it gives me this reading,Accelerator Position Circuit - Malfunction... what can i do to resolve this...

Sounds like a throttle position sensor. That is what it is called on american made cars but would serve the same function. The throttle position sensor would do exactly that, tell the engine where your foot is on the throttle ( or gas pedal) it is generally not an expensive fix, check with your parts store.

On the 2.4L and 2.7L engines, the camshaft position sensor is located on top of the engine near the ignition coils. On the 3.5L engine, the sensor is located at the front of the engine near the camshaft gear.

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe won't start

More maintenance history required. Did this happen ALL OF A SUDDEN? The possible causes are numerous (i.e., ignition, fuel, fuel pressure, vacuum leak, valve timing, timing belt, crank position sensor, bad plugs, bad ignition wires, ECM failure, Coil failure, wiring, injectors, fuel pump, and the list goes on and on and on. Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there. If not, then take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).
