It doesnt work...at all. the im getting no response when switches are pressed, both switches are non responsive. is there a fuse that need to be replaced, is there motors that need replacing. What is it? If it is either of those or something else entirely please inform me and tell me where i can get a diagram. becuase im not paying anybody anything to fix if i can do it myself.
What a terrible "answer", I have no clue how this is marked as "solved". My '06 SRX is exhibiting similar symptoms, and the buttons do not illuminate. Seems like the buttons share a common ground with the sunroof controller and I'm wondering where to begin with diagnostics. Certainly this symptom was engineered into the Cadillac to give us a clue as to where our problems could be rooted?

Buy a factory service repair manual an quit expecting everything free .
The sunroof control module has nothing to do with the switch lighting , interior lights dimming in lighting systems does .
Do these switches light ? rear wiper /washer , blower motor auxiliary switch , blower motor rear auxiliary switch ,rear sunshade switch . These all get b+ voltage from same place and ground at same place - G401 .Traction control switch ,A/T shift lever ,hazard switch , all get their b+ voltage from the same as the others but ground at G200 . Do the steering wheel switches light ?
G401
In the rear compartment, to the rear of the RR shock tower on the D-pillar
The sunroof control module also grounds at G401 an gets B+ voltage from Sunroof mod fuse 40amp. right rear fuse block . and IGN 3 fuse 10amp - fuse block left rear . Now do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter to test electrical circuits ? What else on the vehicle doesn't work , maybe related

SOURCE: Replacing front turn signal bulb on 2006 Cadillac SRX
wow i feel sorry for you because Cadillac designed this bulb to be a don't get to bulb but OK here's what you do take the bottom cover off or skid plastic panel under neath the front end theirs little plastic clips holding it on just get come dikes and don't cut them but just use it to help pull them out. after you get that off use a flash light and locate your light housing you should see two screws holding the house in i think those screws are 8mm i cant remember remove those two screws and be careful the metal from the bumper cuts you pull the light housing out and remove all the screws around the housing and open the housing up replace the bulb and make sure your contact to the bulbs clean and then reassemble the way you took apart. if you cant get it well then best bet is take it somewhere i know Cadillac charges an arm and a leg so you can go somewhere else.
SOURCE: i need fuse diagrams to show me what im replacing
I cannot upload this directly on here. The only thing I can do, is to refer you to a website that has these. These are Wiring Diagrams, and are Schematics. They aren't Pictorial, and won't show you where the fuse blocks are located. HOWEVER, the fuse blocks ARE named, and there is a description of where they're located.
(Example: ABS and IGN 1 Fuses. -> Underhood Fuse Block)
To view these, you have to become a member of AutoZone.com
I did about six months ago. I have received no spam mail, or any advertisement, no nada. I joined, so that I could refer people to the Repair Manuals, for visual aid, and use my experience to guide people.
This is the only Online free information that I am aware of, for what you have requested. You might try ALLDATAdiy.com, but I believe they charge for this info.
Other than this, you might see if your local library has auto repair manuals, in their Reference Section, or go to your nearest Cadillac dealership, Parts Department, and see if they will copy off the diagrams for a nominal fee.

(I went to this website yesterday, and a message came up from Microsoft. It stated that this website's security certificate had expired. Since I am a computer geek also, I knew what this was all about. It's okay! If you receive this, just go to the bottom, and click on Add an Exception. Then on the next page click on Get Certificate. In order for Microsoft to okay a website, they require $$$, for EACH and EVERY time, this website is accessed. If I was giving away FREE information, I, myself, wouldn't pay it! Just my thoughts!)

Try spraying silicone lubricant in the groove that the rear brackets slide in (from the mid section of the roof to the rear).

You must take the front wheel off, then remove the inner front fender panels (2), they are fastened with plastic pushbuttons. this exposses the light housings for the turn and fog lambs. This takes about an hour, but saves you alot of money.
