Same problem here, need to try to change the heater control valve but can't find it. Any ideas 5.2 engine 1999 durango

Did anyone actually solve the problem of no heat, but strong fan speed?
My 99 Durango went from warm to cold air last night.
All hoses seem hot/warm, except for the large hose coming out of the water pump leading to the lower portion of the radiator.
    Thanks,

Is the engine running cold? do you have a temp guage, does it indicate cool engine? does the air from the heater even get a little warm?

Top off your radiator with antifreeze. Some heaters will not work if water level is low..

I really do understand your question, sometimes the water can get a little bit low and not affect the engine operation but it will be low enough to effect the heater. Wont hurt to check

How do I fix the heat

You have one of two problems. The heater core is plugged /
restricted or there is an inoperative internal blend door motor problem. Start the vehicle and let it reach operating temperature. Feel the hoses under the hood that go into the heater core. They should be close to the same temperature. If one is hot and the other luke warm/cold.... the heater core is plugged/restricted. If both hoses are near the same temperature, suspect a defective/non operational blend door motor that controls heat/cold/airflow attached to the heater box assembly

There is no heat from heater at engine idle speed.

I have to believe that your thermostat is still sticking....replace it and you problem should go away. Relatively inexpensive fix.

1990 toyota 4runner heater is blowing cold air

could be your heater core, um try checking the heater assembly in the dash, something may have broke so the heat isn't being switched over, and it is staying on cold. Regularly check the fluids in the motor and top up as needed

All i get from my heater is heat i cant turn the ac on, and when i turn off the heater it still blows hot air

Sounds like a stuck heater core valve. Find heater core valve. Under hood, find the two heater core hoses going into firewall. One of the hoses has a valve. Operate temperature control (full heat, then full cold) check that valve changes position. If not either replace valve or control system failure. Also, when temperature control in cold position, one hose should feel hot and the other cold. Temp fix: disable valve to close no heat or on heat.
