Question about 1994 Pontiac Grand Am
Mor often than not this is caused buy bad secondary ignition. Most likely the plug wires. What you can do when the car does start is fill a spray bottle with soapy water. With the engine running systematically start spraying the plug wires. If you hear the snap of electricity arcing or the engine starts to run rough your on the right track. Also spray around the coil(s) it is possible for the towers to be leaking. If this is the case the coil(s) will also need to be replaced.
