Have you checked the fuse for the gauges ?
If the fuse has voltage, it could be something in the circuit board inside the cluster.

My fuel gauge dosent work on my 1986 nissan 300zx

The fuel level sensor is defective in almost every case. It is located inside the fuel tank, the tank must be removed from the car to replace it.

I have a 1995 nissan 2.4 litre 4 cyl. and it runs rough at low idle and you can smell gas out the exhaust and then it quits running.

Just an idea...a bad coolant sensor (or low coolant) can tell the computer it's colder than it actually is, and then it will dump more fuel. See if you can verify it is working with a live data scanner.

Gas gauge in the dash malfunctioning - 1990 Nissan Hardbody truck

It sounds like the float on the sending unit is sinking. Don't know what the float is made of, but over time, it will soak up gas and start to get heavy. This would cause your problem. I don't think it's the gauge, but if you want to test it, disconnect the wires at the tank. The gauge will either go to full or empty. If you ground the sending wire, the gauge should respond the opposite way it was. good luck

Black smoke is excessive burnt fuel. White is excessive unburnt fuel. Have your turbo checked and the air filter. Good Luck

The sensor for the fans is in the rad at the bottom. T-stat may be bad or the rad may be clogged. Cooling system needs attention.
