SOURCE: how to fill transmission fluid in a 2006 pontiac G6 Gt

Hi dhansohm1,

open the bonnet (hood) and look for the transmission dip stick.... it's usually got a red top.... anyway the one that goes into the gear box.....Check the level ONLY with the engine running.... If needed, fill through the same tube....

SOURCE: engine light 2006 pontiac g6(reset)

first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. SOURCE: transmission fluid for 2007 pontiac G6 GT

This car does not have a auto trans dipstick, the level can only be checked by the dealer, this is a growing trend that started with most German cars, the filter is inside the trans pan and only needs changing every 60,000 miles.

Just change the brakes on my 2005 Pontiac g6 GT ABS light is on traction control light is on in the wrench light is on

Did you unhook wheel speed sensors , did you push brake fluid back through the ABS modulator valve when collapsing the caliper pistons ? With those lights being on there are DTC'S stored in the EBCM - electronic brake control module ! you need to have a scan tool hooked up to check those codes ! Some auto part stores can check this for you , but watch out , there going to want to sell you parts right away .

Transmission fluid

alot of the newer cars do not have a checker. If you have no leak then its full. You just service it at the recommended intervals. How you fill them is you have a drain and a full cap. You remove the full cap and fill till it comes out. The fill cap is on the side of the trans and is accessable from the bottom

2007 g6 brake lights will come on and stay on will driving?

Look up above your brake pedal and you should see a switch that comes into contact with the pedal arm. Disconnect the switch and see if your brake lights are still one as the switch may have become stuck and is staying in the on mode.

Transmission Fluid. Pontiac G6. 2006

The trannsmission is a sealed unit and there is no dipstick. Check to see if you have a leak. More than likely it sounds like your low on fluid at least a 1/2 to a whole quart. Since these are sealed units it should be taken to the dealership to have looked at. If there is not any leaks then I would add 1/2 qt of tranny fluid and try driving so see if it helped. If it helped a little but the same problems are still there add another 1/2 qt. If it doesnt solve the problem then your tranny needs to be looked at.
