Question about 2005 Hyundai Tucson

1 Answer

Highbeams won't click on in my 2005 Tucson GLS.

When I try to click on my high beams it won't hold. I have to manually hold the switch on. What's causing this. I don't night drive on an often basis but this has happened since I got the car. It is still on warranty.

Thanks.

Try pushing the lever away from you instead of holding it towards you.
It should stay.

Headlight switch turns on parking lights but not headlights. Have to hold high beam switch on to have headlights at night.

Replace light switch assembly. Remenber some switches pull up to flash headlights and press down to change from low to high--press down again goes from high to low.

2001hyundai accent lights do not work, high beams do if held on.

the fuse could have blown, & by the fuse blowing it could cause either the relay to become stuck or damaged or the light main circuit breaker could have been damaged, all these details & the individual locations can be found in your vehicles owners manual. best of luck.

High beams work, but won't shut off.

Sounds like a bad switch or relay. If it was a fuse they would not work at all.

Most likely Relay #46 in the underhood fuse panel is bad, try swapping it with #45 to isolate problem.
