Buy or borrow a tie rod end separator (like a smaller version of a ball-buster), loosen the nut, and drive the separator in to pry the shaft out. After you get the tie rod separated, you will have to loosen the retaining bolt on the end of the CV joint. Considering the age of the vehicle, you may want to just replace the tie rod ends. The job is a royal pain in the arse, and I am taking my PT Cruiser into the transmission shop tomorrow to let them do it. They quoted me 2 hours of labor for $150, although a lot of shops charge more than $75 an hour.

What are the rod and main bearing torque specs for a 96 chevy S-10 2.2?

The torque spec for the main bearing caps on a 2.2 are 105 nm or 77 ft lbs all. But you know if your doing the crank there is a lot more to it then the torque . The main bearing clearance is 0.0006 to 0.0019 and the rod clearance is even tighter 0.00098 to 0.0031.

I need the torque specs for the main bearing and conecting rods for a 2000 chev S-10 W/2.2L engine code (4)

I show the main bearing torque to be 70 ft.lbs.
The rod caps are torqued to 38 ft.lbs.

2004 mazda 6 3.0L V6 main bearing caps(bootom end) has 16 bolts need torgue specs please!

Okay, the main bearing caps only have 10 bolts, i think your looking for the connecting rod caps, they have 16 bolts, i will list them both, theres a tightening sequnce for the main bearing caps, these are the caps that hold the crankshaft to the engine block, the connecting rod caps hold the pistons to the crank and they have 16 nuts,For a 2004 mazda 6 with the 3.0 engine the torque specs are as follows.
Connecting rod bolts step 1) 19.2 - 23.6 ft lbs.
step 2) tighten an additional 80 - 100 degrees

Main bearing caps step 1) 32.5 - 33.9 ft. lbs.
step 2) tighten an additional 175 -185 degrees.

Need torque specs for connecting rod and main bearing cap bolts on a 1.6L 2001 hyundai accent

Torque in two to three stages.
Connecting rods are 24-26 lb.ft.
Main bearing caps are 41-44 lb.ft.

Connection Rod Nuts: 37-38 Ft Lbs.
Main Bearing Caps: 55-61 Ft Lbs.
And Head Bolts...

1st - step; - 80 ft./lbs. 2nd - step, loosen all bolts; 3rd - step; - 80 ft./lbs.
