Question about Chevrolet Equinox
Scan Tool gave me code po449, how can I fix this error. Or what is going on with the car that is giving this code?
The code P0449 indicates a problem with the vent sol.being either stuck
on or off.
This is usually caused by road dirt getting into the vent sol. due to it's mounting location above the fuel tank.
You have options, one is just simply replace the vent sol. the other and the correct repair is to install a kit and a filter to the vent sol.
Dirt and dust intrusion into the EVAP canister vent hose assembly, resulting in restricted air flow, may cause about the illumination of the instrument panel SES light, with a DTC of P0446 (Restricted/Blocked EVAP Vent Path).

p0449 is an evaporative emission code that indicates a problem with the canister vent solenoid.. without being able to scan and check all of the system I would recomend replacing the vent solenoid. I believe their was a GM TSB on that part and it has been modified.
please respond with fix details

Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.

3rd brake lights are usually just held with 1 or 2 screws.if the clip or plastic it screws into is stripped, you can usually find a used part pretty cheap.it may just need to be screwed down.the metal clips may be found at a hardware store.
