If you're asking about the electronic pressure control solenoid, it's on the driver side of the valve body. There are 4 sols on that side, it's the one closest to the rear. It's bigger & heavier than the other 3.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 Ford Explorer and the cruise-control doesn't work.

an easy answer would be a vacuum line with a hole but with this late model and the fact its a ford i would think electrical problem. ford likes to use relays in all its electrical apps. if not the switch itself maybe a relay. the problem is finding which one. i go down to the auto parts and see if i can find info on the relays i can see or take it to a shop u can trust and have it diagnosed

SOURCE: can you tell me where the pressure conrol solenoid

it is inside the transmission pan.

SOURCE: My 2003 Ford Explorer with 186000 miles is not

You NEVER go to a dealer
They have NOTHING SPECIAL to offer
They just over charge you

In this case, you go to a trans repair shop,
immediately. NEVER drive ANY Vehicle with
trans issues,ever

The solenoid can be changed, and anything
over $200 for the solenoid, labor, fluids would
be too much, unless it has a solenoid pack,
which is $332.00 wholesale (I have a bill in front
of me,you won't get that price though)

Error Code P0745

  • If the error code checker returns a P0745 code, it is indicative of a transmission issue. Error codes in the 700s refer to transmission problems. The P0745 error code refers specifically to a malfunctioning pressure control solenoid. This should be checked by a mechanic as soon as possible.

Could I get a picture of the pressure control solenoid A or a diagram of the circuit please.

The solenoids on this trans are all part of one solenoid pack they are not serviced separately. You must replace the solenoid pack assembly in order to replace a solenoid.
please note that you will have to empty the trans fluid before carrying out this replace. There is no dip stick.
Please check the link below for its exact location and diagram on your ford explorer.

My 2003 Ford Explorer is "stuck" in 4WD Low and will not switch out

Most lkeley it is the solenoid that controls the link that has siezed. It gets the worst of conditions down there, so will need a clean and service if possible - or replacement.
