can you check to see if the ecu is getting power. i dont have the wiring code to hand, but remove the battery and unplug the ecu. then put battery back on and turn ignition on, with a meter or a 12 volt bulb with a wire conect to earth and the other end to connections on the ecu plug you should get 4 or 5 lives. if that all works try the ground wires to the shell follow the ground wire from the battery to the shell check and clean these.

2004 silverado, speedometer, fuel gauge, temp, oil pressure and voltmeter all quit working and security (key fob dont lock/unlock no more).any sugestions

Pull the IP and unplug it, plug it back in. When everything goes at the same time it is usually a bad connection at the plug. Also check ground wires. The can be on the steering column or behind the kick panel to the left. By the E brake. The key FOB is a different area. But can be related to the grounds.

How do I find where to plug in the wire going to both of my 12v center consol outlets?

is there power to the two outlets ? if there is check if the spare wire's are positive and negative , if they are they are extra wires to be able to hard wire a component so it is constantly connected , something that you would not want to remove from the vehicle , as it is red/black it does suggest that it should be constant power (powered when ignition off) ,as with all manufacturers there will be wire's/connectors that are not used on every model , as they try to use the same looms on many model types to save costs etc ,hope this is helpfull

Cigarette lighter in center console doesn't work and I can figure out why. Checked all the fuses. Any ideas? Thanks!

pull out socket and check for power and ground wire that goes to center should be the power wire and wire that goes to out side should be ground
if u have power and ground then replace socket
if u dont have power check fuses again look for broken wire
if u dont have ground look for bad wire
